Richard graduated in electrical engineering from Newcastle University in 1990. He worked on engineering projects for NEI (latterly Rolls Royce) from 1986 until 2002, when he left the profession to work as a freelance IT consultant and web designer.

Over the last 3 years Richard has researched the UFO and other related phenomena and launched the website richplanet.net in early 2008. Since then he has produced 2 documentaries and a series of TV programmes about the UFO phenomenon which are being screened on Edge Media Television (Sky 200).

His book “Aliens Before Gentlemen – A Guide to the Future” postulates what information might become common knowledge in a post disclosure world.
